146: Correction & the Church

Whoever Loves Discipline… // S11E12

Correction. It’s a word we often don’t want to here and something we hate to experience. But, we need it. We need the correction or the Lord. His discipline. As it says in Hebrews, it may seem painful at the time, but in the end produces a fruit of righteousness. So how does this look in our churches. In the 4 walls, among our brothers and sisters? Are we willing to be corrected by the Lord through them? Can we humble ourselves to that place?

Verses from Correction & the Church:

Hebrews 12:11, Psalm 139:23-24, Proverbs 12:1, Colossians 3:12, 2 Corinthians 13:5

“We have to look at one thing; every person in their Christian walk is in a season and we have to understand that it might not always be the thing you want worked on that is being worked on.”

Shea Watson, The Pantry Podcast, Correction & the Church

“If I think I’m so good at taking correction, but I only take correction from people I respect, I’m still being prideful in a different way. I’m seeing myself and ranking myself among other people.”

Michelle Watson, The Pantry Podcast, Correction & the Church
