GUIDING CHILDREN IN A DIGITAL AGE // EPISODE 180 – This week we delve into the importance of games with Christian roots that can meet children where they are at with Brent Dusing, CEO of TruPlay games. Did you know video games are the most prevalent past time for children and yet Christians don’t have a real footprint in that space?
Rather than demand children don’t play, the believers at TruPlay want to provide an engaging and impactful platform that kids can use while learning the Gospel message.
“I realized was about why do we get started? Because nobody was delivering great content for kids. It wasn’t there was a lack of Christian content. There’s there’s a lack of Christian content that was awesome and compelling and fun and exciting. Right? Here’s the metaphor we’d use. Too often Christian entertainment in the past was sold as robitussin. Please drink this it’ll help your cough. You need it. No. No. No. I know it doesn’t taste very good, but you need to drink this. That’s how it was sold. What we do at True Play is was we’re providing, you know, wonderful games and video content, cartoons, and comics that are like eating chocolate cake except that there’s vitamins and protein and calcium stuffed in it.”
