Do you struggle with telling the truth or hearing it? As a believer, it really isn’t a suggestion when we read that we are to love correction because it is loving! We can camp out on the hill of, “but I won’t lose salvation over it,” but that honestly reveals a lack of maturity as a follower of Christ. If hearing correction and truth is still hard to do, camp out in proverbs and ask God to give you wisdom, discernment, and the strength to act on the truths you hear. Life can be a maze. Like this one Calia guided us through on Monday afternoon. The bean plants were just tall enough to be over her head, but she only took two wrong turns. The first was easily corrected because the dead end came fast. The second took a lot longer to correct even though it looked like we were almost out. Shea and I were with her the whole time, but we let her lead the way until she asked for input. Then her daddy let her ride on his shoulders and she could more clearly see the way and we got out in just a few more minutes. Be still in that you’re still in motion, but riding on your Father’s shoulders, letting Him lead you out of life’s mazes one by one. When He is our foundation, we can more clearly discern which way to go.
