135: The Good, Bad, and Ugly

Breaks and Builds // S11E01

He is molding us. He is faithful to complete the work in us. Though the conviction from His word, His breaking process, may not feel comforting in the moment, we are being broken down to be built up more like Him. To be sanctified, in the likeness of the Son. We don’t all have to start from the place, God is doing the work, He is changing us, not human rules and ideas, and His plan is far greater.

Verses from The Church: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly:

John 7:11-17, Genesis 2:7, Job 10:9, I Corinthians 13:9, Jeremiah 18:1-6, Philippians 1:6, II Corinthians 4:7-9

Quotes from todays episode:

“It’s good to take a step back sometimes… because we need to allow the Word of God to do the work of God.”

Shea Watson, The Pantry Podcast, The Church: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

“(Throughout scripture), we are continually referenced to as clay and pots and dust and dirt, and He is continually referenced to as “the potter.” So when you are in the Christian life… you will be fulfilled through the brokenness. Both the brokenness that you come to the Lord with but also the brokenness you realize when you come to Him, that you didn’t even realize you had as a defect, and He will remake, and He will re-work”

Michelle Watson, The Pantry Podcast, The Church: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
