Support a thriving, grace-filled community church in Kisumu, Kenya in their efforts to provide daily provision, purpose, and spiritual growth for the local Body of Christ.
Since the mid-90s, Shea has travelled back and forth to Kenya for work. Beginning with his renewed commitment to Christ in 2014, Shea connected with churches in Nairobi, Kisumu, and Kericho, Kenya. Soon after, Shea met Pastor Jackson Kepue and the two practically became brothers.
As COVID-19 measures entered Kenya, the economic impact was tragic. Since then, we’ve worked with Pastor Jackson to launch a food pantry out of his church in Kisumu.
Not only has the pantry saved many families from starvation, but it also healed tribal rifts between pastors and churches for miles and miles.
Which, praise God, is a good problem to have. Except that this has caused capacity issues (especially during COVID distancing measures) and King Jesus Faith Church needs a new home.
Together, we have raised $20,000 (worth of KSH) locally, but the 1-acre property costs another $30,000. This land will allow Pastor Jackson to build a bigger church, a food pantry, temporary housing for those in need, and more.
This is the chance we’ve been praying for to expand a ministry that already touches and greatly impacts countless lives.
God has faithfully improved the circumstances so that we have more time to raise the funds.
There are things we’re wise to consume and store up in this life. Yet there are other things that lead to poor health, disappointment—even death.
Choose Jesus, not junk food.
Best and God bless,
Give praise to the Lord, proclaim His name; make known among the nations what He has done.
Psalm 105:1 NLT
